Testimonial From Just Cabins Client

"Just wanted to thank you, for the cabin.  It was really very useful for my needs over the last 3 years and fitted well into the campground with the space available and the ample room inside. It was warm, waterproof, airy and the large windows were great for natural light. I will get onto you website and post a Testimonial for you. Your quick delivery and prompt service was very much appreciated when I asked for a cabin. Your easy manor and approach made the whole experience pleasurable and comforting to know you delivered exactly what I was expecting. I will be happy to recommend your cabins to anyone."

About Kapiti

Just 40 minutes from central Wellington, the Kapiti Coast (population 50,000), offers 40 kilometres of fabulous New Zealand beaches, breath-taking views out to Kapiti Island, and over 1000 kilometres of family-friendly cycling and walking tracks.

Kapiti Island is ‘the jewel in our crown’ and is an internationally recognised nature reserve protecting some of the world’s rarest and most endangered birds in New Zealand. For more details about Kapiti Island, please visit the Department of Conservation (DOC) .

The island is the only large sanctuary for birds between the Hauraki Gulf, in the north, and the Sub-Antarctic islands of New Zealand in the south. It is one of the country’s most valuable nature reserves - a significant part of which includes the Waikanae Estuary Scientific Reserve on the adjacent mainland.

The Otaki and Waikanae Rivers run through a diverse landscape of regenerating native bush, mature forest, and coastal sand dunes before entering the Tasman Sea - both provide visitors with a rich set of outdoor adventures in addition to our beach environment.

From Paekakariki in the south to Otakiin the north, the Coast is easily accessible off State Highway 1 and a great place to ‘run away for the weekend’ and ‘hang out’ in a relaxed coastal setting where you can enjoy beach, bush and river walks, cycling, swimming and fishing.

Our Coastal villages: Paekakariki, Raumati Beach, Paraparaumu, Peka Peka, Te Horo, Waikanae and Otaki all offer a relaxed friendly day out, weekend away or stop-off for travellers going both north and south. All our villages have a range of accommodation options, great cafés, beach-side shops, galleries and heritage museums for you to enjoy.

For serious shoppers, outlet shopping in a ‘main street’ environment offers a great day out in Otaki and Coastlands Shopping town offers 80 stores under one roof with a combination of boutique shopping and bulk retail opportunities.

Other key attractions include:

• The Paekakariki Heritage Precinct - visit the Paekakariki Station Museum and Signal Box, take a trip on a steam train (programme dependent) or ride on a vintage tram in Queen Elizabeth Park. Also of interest - the newly restored U.S.Marines Memorial in the Park.

• A New Mega  Aquatic centre with slides and wave pool.

• The Miniature Railway and children’s splash pad in Raumati’s Marine Gardens. Weather permitting the railway is open every Sunday from 1-4pm. The splash pad is open every day. Both features are magnets for children and families.
