Brent and the late Mary Lemon, owners of the West Coast Just Cabins franchise were a husband and wife team that built up the business together. Mary was the one behind it all but passed away suddenly in 2014. Brent is a born and bred West Coaster. He is based in Greymouth and has owned and operated the Just Cabins - West Coast franchise with his wife since 2008.
Brent says; "When our teenage son had returned from flatting we were looking for sleepouts for him. We saw a Just Cabins article in a magazine and realised that hiring a cabin was a good option for us. By renting a cabin we wouldn't have to purchase a sleep-out for the short time we expected him to live with us.
However, when we contacted Just Cabins regarding a cabin hire, we found out the franchise was available for the West Coast. With our business and practical skills, we realised that we had right skills to bring Just Cabins to the West Coast.
We now build the transportable cabins ourselves and are able to support the local economy by purchasing materials locally and supporting other West Coast businesses.
We are committed to growing our business and are also dedicated to the growth of the West Coast by continuing to provide our cabins to vast array of customers in the tourism, health, retail, service, mining, farming and private sectors.

We provide modern, stylish and warm, portable cabins for hire throughout the West Coast. Our cabins are built and remain on a chassis for towing and easy maneuverability. Due to the nature and the design our cabins we have successfully received an exemption from building consent requirements from the three local authorities. This means no timely and costly consent fees for our customers.
We also personally deliver setup and pick up the cabins with a four wheel drive, thus saving customers costly transportation fees they would face with other portable building hire companies. Furthermore, our customers are able to affordably hire a cabin and have it delivered within days."
